The brief

What we were asked for

Every tool in this market reports rankings and traffic, and a business owner cannot spend either. The brief was a platform that does the work rather than recommending it, and that is scored on the only number the customer actually banks.

The challenge

What made it difficult

The constraints that shaped every decision after them.

  • Ranking and traffic dashboards are easy to build and easy to ignore; tying work to profit means joining marketing data to money data per tenant.
  • Autonomous execution is only acceptable if every action is attributable and reversible — an agent quietly changing a live site is worse than no agent.
  • Multi-tenancy across unrelated businesses means one customer’s data, credentials and site access can never be reachable from another’s.
  • The obvious positioning — another SEO tool — would have put the product in the cheapest, most crowded category on the web.

What we built

How we solved it

The decisions that mattered, and why we made them.

01

An explicit order of priorities

Profit outranks revenue, revenue outranks leads, leads outrank traffic and traffic outranks rankings. That order is in the product, not the marketing: it decides which work is picked up next.

02

Execution, not advice

Work is planned, carried out and recorded end to end, so the output is a change that shipped with a result attached rather than a to-do list handed back to the customer.

03

Tenant isolation by construction

Every record, credential and integration is scoped to its tenant at the data layer, so cross-tenant access is impossible rather than merely prevented in the interface.

04

Deliberate positioning

Not an SEO tool, not a keyword tool, not an AI writer. The product is sold on revenue growth, which is a different buyer, a different price and a different conversation.

The outcome

Where it got to

  • Reporting a customer can take to a P&L instead of a dashboard screenshot.
  • Growth work executed continuously rather than commissioned in batches.
  • A platform architecture that onboards a new tenant without a deployment.
